LETTER FROM THE EDITORS: CELEBRATING APAHM IN APRIL

Dear readers and supporters of The Stripes,

After coming back from midterms and spring break, The Stripes is gearing up for Asian Pacific American Heritage History month. Because reading week and finals take place during the month of May at Princeton, we will be celebrating APAHM a month early during April. As we mentioned in our February Letter from the Editor, these months of ethnic celebration give us the special opportunity to further contribute to discussions regarding specific communities.

In honor of APAHM, The Stripes will be publishing a special series dedicated to AAPI issues. Additionally, we will be hosting a discussion on “Native-Born and Immigrant Identities in the Asian American Community” in the Mathey Common Room on Friday, April 25 at 7:30pm. Stay tuned for more recaps and multimedia features of this month’s events, including a talk to be given by Yale Law Professor Amy Chua.
